COVID-19 Update: Chisel Reopens Office

COVID-19 Update: Chisel Reopens Office

At Chisel, the health and safety of our members and staff, as well as their families, clients, and the public have always been our top priority. Since we temporarily closed the office in March, we have been closely monitoring the development of the COVID-19 pandemic and the official guidance from local and international sources. After careful evaluation, we have decided to start our reopening process slowly and safely.

We will open the office to current members of Chisel on Monday, June 15, 2020, implementing some strict health and safety protocols, as listed below. We anticipate loosening the restrictions in time, as we will continue to monitor the development of the pandemic closely.

No Outside Visitors – The office suite remains locked 24/7 for limited access. We only allow current Chisel members and FH+H employees to enter the office at this time. No vendors, clients, delivery, or other visitors are allowed in the office area. For people who are interested in joining Chisel, we offer one-on-one virtual tours of the space.

Self-report Temperature – All persons entering the office must self-report and confirm that their body temperature reading was below 100.4 ºF (or 38 ºC) within two hours before arriving at the office. We do not list any temperature details. If you took any fever-reducing medicine, please let us know.

Face Coverings – Chisel provides face masks and other protective equipment to members (subject to availability). It is required to wear face coverings or face masks when interacting or sharing space with others.

No gatherings in common areas

If you experience any COVID-19 symptoms – Please stay at home and self-isolate. Notify our Community Manager, Tori Moses, immediately and contact your healthcare provider for further instructions. If you have had close interactions with someone who has the symptoms or has tested positive for COVID-19, do the same.

What members can expect

Enhanced daily cleaning procedures – In coordination with the building management, the office space, especially high-traffic or frequent-touched areas, is cleaned with disinfectant multiple times a day and during night cleanings.

Air ventilation and sanitization stations – The building management has cleaned the HVAC filtration system. Fresh airflow that is continually brought in from outdoors runs through the systems. Other sanitization stations, including Purell stands, are placed throughout the building.

Adjusted office seatings – To minimize the sharing of communal space, we have temporarily provided private offices for all Chisel members, no matter their membership plan.

Other office support – We continue to provide other essential office support, including internet, printing and copying, and mail and package services.

Other recommended practices

Maintain physical distance – Please maintain at least 6 feet of physical distance when interacting with other people.

Wash hands – Please wash your hands frequently with soap for at least 20 seconds, then rinse with running water.

Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing – For the health of everyone, please cover your mouth and nose with your elbow or tissues when coughing or sneezing.

Avoid unnecessary contact – Try to host your meetings via online channels when possible. Avoid any unnecessary contact with other people.

Take care of yourself – Be mindful of your mental health. Make sure you maintain a healthy diet and are getting enough sleep. Talk to your family and friends using virtual channels.
